Meet Lake Country Chorus
Lake Country Chorus is a group of women who gather together to participate in the art form known as barbershop music. We are a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, a world-wide organization dedicated to performance and education.
Lake Country Chorus was chartered in 1968 as the White Bear Lake Chapter. Women of all ages and backgrounds come together to form the chorus and create the wonderful sounds of four-part a cappella harmony, barbershop style. We are thankful for this hobby that not only allows us to sing, but also gives us the opportunity to make life-long friends and to participate in activities we never imagined. Some of our members travel from as far as Cambridge, Wyoming and Isanti because we love to sing together.
We enjoy entertaining for our community, singing for senior residences, church services, park performances and other local events throughout the north and east Twin Cities metro area.
Membership in our local chapter includes membership in a larger regional and international organization and the opportunity to participate in their education and performance events.
Every rehearsal is open to guests and visitors. We would love to have you come and try our fun hobby; we will put you on the risers with us! Every rehearsal includes vocal training and training in the barbershop musical style.
